In Canada, the St. Thomas Times Journal reports Woodland Biofuels is looking at other biomass-based products than ethanol as it looks to scale up in Sarnia now that they’re becoming more competitive with fossil-based products. RNG and carbon-negative hydrogen are amongst the potential options but whether or not carbon sequestration will be possible at Sarnia is a key deciding factor at the moment. The company’s CEO hopes the question about CCS infrastructure in the area will be answered in the next few months.
