CCS pipelines crisscrossing Midwest under fire from environmentalists and farmers

In North Dakota, Bloomberg reports the Midwest Carbon Express under development by Summit Agriculture Group and the Heartland Gateway by Navigator CO2 Ventures are coming under fire from environmentalists as well as farmers whose land will be impacted by the pipeline that will transfer CO2 emissions from ethanol plants across the Midwest for injection into geological formations. The Sierra Club and Bold Nebraska, amongst others, have vowed litigation to stop the projects from going through.
