Malaysia may get its first HVO and SAF facility thanks to Sino-Malay consortium

In Malaysia, the Board of Directors of Benalec announced that Pengerang Maritime Industries Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Benalec Sdn Bhd, which in turn is wholly-owned by Benalec had on December 13, 2021 entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Shanxi Construction Investment Group Co. Ltd., Malaysian Palm Oil Board and Institute of Coal Chemistry, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences to exchange technical expertise for the preparation and finalization of the feasibility and technical evaluation report which will be incorporated into the proposal for the Proposed Production Plant of second generation biodiesel and biojet fuel project in Pengerang Maritime Industrial Park.
