UCO collection begins in Sharjah with expansion seen across UAE

December 27, 2021 |

In the UAE, Gulf Today reports Bee’ah Tandeef has set up its first used cooking oil collection facility in Sharjah with plans to roll out more across the emirate and the UAE as a whole to reduce disposal into the sewage system that then leads to severe damage. The UCO collected will be processed into biodiesel that will in turn be used to fuel Bee’ah Tandeef’s waste collection fleet. The collection facilities accept specific one-liter bottles provided by the company for free and new bottles are supplied by the machine upon receipt of full bottles.
