Indonesia sees palm oil production rising 2.6% in 2022

In Indonesia, Reuters reports the head of the Estate Crop Fund expects palm oil production to reach 51.01 million metric tons in 2022, 2.6% higher than in 2021. He sees exports rising as well to 27.9 million tons versus 27.08 million tons this year while domestic consumption is seen rising to 11.4 million tons from 11.1 million tons in 2021. While the fund has modeled prices for 2022 ranging between $821 to $1,032, the fund estimates price could actually have a wider range of $747 to $1,094 per ton.
