Iowa state legislature seen taking up E15 mandate bill again in 2022

In Iowa, IARN Radio reports State Senator Tom Shipley expects the next session of the state legislature to take up again Governor Reynolds’ bill seeking to mandate E15 as the minimum blend at the pumps after it failed to pass during the 2021 session. Higher biodiesel blends were also included in the bill. Fuel retailers were against the bill who estimated $1 billion in infrastructure investments would be required to implement the last, but biofuel leaders have been working to finesse the bill since the summer.
