Swaraj Green Power and Fuel to build India’s largest ethanol plant

In India, the Hindu Business Line newspaper reports Swaraj Green Power and Fuel Limited will develop the country’s largest ethanol plant in Phaltan (Maharashtra) using sugarcane juice and Praj’s new biosyrup as feedstock. The plant will produce 500,000 liters of ethanol in the first phase, reaching 1.1 million liters per day in the second phase. The first phase should be online by the third quarter of 2022/23. Currently the company produces 60,000 liters per day of ethanol from molasses.
