D6, D4 and D5 RIN production rises in December

In Washington, Reuters reports Environmental Protection Agency data shows that December saw D6 RIN production increase to about 1.30 billion ethanol compared to 1.26 billion the month prior, in line with high ethanol production runs while crushing margins were still high. D4 biodiesel RIN production also rose, reaching 576 million compared to 464 million in November. Cellulosic biofuel D3 RINs remained unchanged at 52 million while D5 advanced biofuel RINs rose 60% slightly to more than 21 million RINs compared to 14 million the month before.
