In France, Reuters reports French E85 consumption soared by 33% in 2021 thanks to much lower prices than petrol, which has continued to rise along with the rest of the energy matrix. With E85 available at the pump last week for 84.5 cents per liter compared to $1.92 per liter of E10, French drivers are expected to continue choosing E85 with ethanol demand seen growing by 20% in 2022. Last year, E85 conversion kit sales doubled while 30% of gas stations now offer E85 at the pump.
