Colombian biodiesel consumption rose 24% on year in 2021

In Colombia, El Nuevo Siglo reports the National Federation of Biofuels of Colombia (Fedebiocombustibles) released the biodiesel consumption figures for 2021, which grew 24% compared to 2020.

In addition, it was added that consumption was also 15% higher than in 2018, its best year so far. On that occasion, the demand was 552,000 metric tons. In December 2021, demand for biodiesel grew 11.2% compared to the same month of 2020 and a variation of 19% comparing the annual value in relation to 2019. Demand between November and December increased 4.9%.
