#1 Mushroom yoga bags from Lululemon will stretch your budget

In Vancouver, high-end athleisure brand Lululemon has begun selling two products made from Bolt Thread’s mushroom-based material. The offering includes the Meditation and Yoga Mat Bag, a 3-in-1 yoga mat bag that doubles as a floor mat and can be carried rolled up or folded in half, and the Barrel Duffel Bag.

Adding sustainability to your sun salutations will, however, stretch your budget deeper than the lotus legs pose. The Meditation and Yoga Mat Bag sells for $238 dollars, while the Barrel Bag retails for $328.

Lululemon first announced in summer 2021 that it planned on using the material—trade named Mylo and manufactured using the mycelium root structure of mushrooms—in upcoming products. Both bags are available to purchase online and in select stores.
