February 20, 2022 |

In India, LR Energy’s agreement with Indian Oil Corporation Limited under SATAT scheme was extended for another 5 years. The first Commercial Agreement for Production and Supply of Compressed Bio-Gas was signed in August 2020 between LR Energy and Indian Oil Corporation Limited under the SATAT scheme to promote CBG as an alternative, green transport fuel for structured management of biomass and organic waste.

The agreement was extended from 10 years to 15 years in February 2022 in order to provide comfort and stability to the project developers. The ministry has also looked into the funding aspect of CBG projects and made the required changes to make them easier to finance.

This project is now under construction in Karnal, Haryana, with a daily proposed production capacity of 5000 kg compressed Bio-Gas. This is LR Energy’s second Commercial Agreement with an Oil Marketing Company in India.
