Steamboat Fuels chooses Curacao for its renewable diesel facility

In Curacao, the Curacao Chronicle reports Steamboat Fuels has decided to build a renewable diesel facility near Bullen Bay using used cooking oil and animal fats as feedstock. The company chose the island due to its availability of ready workers with industrial processing experience, strategic location and maritime infrastructure for importing feedstock and exporting finished fuels. The 4.7 ha the company wants to lease for the project tis owned by government-owned company Refineria di Kòrsou with whom a letter of intent has already been signed.
