Indian OMCs to boost ethanol storage 51% by 2025

In India, Reuters reports that in preparation for achieving 20% ethanol blending by 2025, oil marketing companies are increasing ethanol storage capacity by 51%. The top three companies currently own storage capacity for 178 million liters equating to about 4.3 billion liters annually, considering 15 days storage. To handle 10.6 billion liters by 2025, they’re looking to expand capacity out to 446.4 million liters. Previously, the 20% blending mandate was set for 2030 but was pulled forward to 2025.
