Australia’s first renewable diesel facility making progress

March 10, 2022 |

In Australia, Upstream Online reports Carnarvon Energy and Frontier Impact Group’s 50/50 joint venture FutureEnergy Australia could already start renewable diesel production in 2023 if all goes to plan. Technip Energies is doing front-end engineering and design work while FutureEnergy Australia has signed a 12-month exclusive option to buy a 65-hectare site outside Narrogin in Western Australia. The project’s first phase, if the company takes the investment decision later this year to move forward, will produce 18 million liters of renewable diesel annually.
