Ethanol production and stocks rise as margins improve

In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports Energy Information Administration data shows ethanol production rose an average of 31,000 barrels per day last week to 1.028 million barrels a day, 90,000 bpd higher than a year ago. Production was driven by higher crush margins, according to analysis from Iowa State University. Despite increased production, stocks also increased to 25.271 million barrels, 338,000 barrels higher than last week and 3.2 million barrels higher than this time last year.
