#2 Biobased textiles featured on the red carpet

In Hollywood, California, three celebrities walked the red carpet for the 94th Academy Awards in gowns made of Lenzing’s TENCEL wood-based fibers, highlighting the potential for more sustainable materials at the highest levels of fashion.

Tati Gabrielle, star of Uncharted, You, and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, wore a custom HELLESSY off-shoulder cape gown made from an ivory TENCEL Lyocell textile with fringing that “drips like frost,” Lenzing said in a press release. Paloma Garcia Lee, Broadway performer and star of the Best Picture nominated West Side Story, wore a custom Patrick McDowell gown using the material as well as green linen, while Billie Eilish’s mother Maggie Baird wore a custom BENEDETTI LIFE gown in using multiple textiles from the TENCEL line.

The dresses were coordinated by RCGD Global, formerly known as Red Carpet Green Dress™.
