BP gets government funding for Kwinana hydrogen hub

In Australia, Upstream Online reports that Australian government will invest $52 million in bp’s former refinery at the Kwinana site in Western Australia that is being converted to produce renewable fuels. An electrolyzer of at least 75MW is being developed jointly with Macquarie Group to produce green hydrogen in addition to storage and transportation infrastructure as well as existing an existing pipeline. Future expansion of the project could include renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel.
