Ethanol production passes 1M barrels per day for first time since April 1

In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports Energy Information Administration data shows ethanol production returned to more than a million barrels per day last week for the first time since April 1 at 1.014 million barrels, up 23,000 barrels from the week before. Stocks fell by 79,000 barrels to 23.712 million barrels but were still 4.732 million barrels higher than last year. Lower corn prices are helping to bring crushing margins back into the positive range.
