Ethiopian 8th grader sells power to 16 people from manure-based biofuel he produces

In Ethiopia, the Addis Standard newspaper reports that an eighth grader has created a biofuel system using animal manure that he then converts into enough electricity to supply 16 customers. The system was developed by mimicking a model he saw as well as his own innovations. The local water and energy authority has promised to provide support, including materials, to help him continue his endeavor. He earns $47 per month from selling the electricity he produces from his invention.
