Biden Administration seen raising 2021 RVO

June 1, 2022 |

In Washington, Reuters reports that although a final decision has not yet been made, sources believe the Biden Administration will choose to increase biofuel blending for 2021 above the 13.32 billion gallons first proposed in December. Ethanol blending for last year was already well above that level at about 13.94 billion gallons. A meeting was held at the White House on Tuesday to hammer out the retroactive mandate levels which farm and biofuels industries and politicians complained at the time were too low. Blending levels for 2020 and 2022 aren’t likely to change much, however.
