Western Legacy Development wants biodiesel facility co-located with slaughterhouse

In South Dakota, DRG News reports Western Legacy Development Corporation wants to build a biodiesel facility co-located with its planned beef and bison processing facility near Rapid City. Discussions are underway with multinational companies regarding potential offtake of would-be future biodiesel production. The facility would use tallow to produce the biodiesel, an offtake agreement for which may be announced soon. From processing to packaging to potential biodiesel production, the project is expected to create 1,500 jobs.
