Advanced Biofuel Solutions awarded $5.71M UK grant for biohydrogen project

In the UK, Advanced Biofuel Solutions Ltd (ABSL) has been awarded a £4.8 million grant from the Direct Air Capture and Greenhouse Gas Removal Innovation Program, Phase 2 of the competition launched by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) which provides funding from the Net Zero Innovation Portfolio (NZIP).

The Biohydrogen Greenhouse Gas Removal Demonstration Project, undertaken in collaboration with Progressive Energy Ltd and University College London, will convert household waste into biohydrogen for use in the transport sector.
