D6 RINs rise in June but rising ethanol production in mid-July could see figures increase more

In Washington, Reuters reports Environmental Protection Agency data shows 60,000 more D6 RINs were produced in June than in May, reaching 1.29 billion. Ethanol production started to fall back in mid-June but has now started to rebound with Energy Information Agency data showing ethanol production reached 1.034 barrels a day last week, the first increase in four weeks, according to Brownfield Ag News. For biodiesel, D4 RINs fell to 491 million from 513 million the month before.
