In South Korea, the Joongang Daily newspaper reports that Hyundai Oilbank has signed a deal with Lotte Confectionary who will supply used cooking oil for biodiesel feedstock. Hyundai Oilbank is currently building a 130,000 metric ton per year biodiesel production facility at its Daesan plant in Seosan, the launching point for its new biodiesel business unit. The two companies are exploring the creation of a joint venture that would allow them to source feedstock internationally.
