Brazil exports third DDGS shipment as corn-based ethanol increases

In Brazil, Reuters reports that as corn-based ethanol production increases, so does its DDGS supply, so the first cargo of 55,000 metric tons has set sail for Vietnam. Corn ethanol production is expected to rise 31% season over last season at 4.5 billion liters, accounting for about 15% of the country’s overall total production that is dominated by sugarcane. The first two DDGS shipments from Brazil which took place earlier this year went to the UK and Turkey.
