Cortus Energy pulls out of Mariposa Biomass Project development

In California, for the past 6 years, Cortus Energy has been a partner with the Mariposa Biomass Project regarding a plant for cogeneration in Mariposa County, California, USA.

Since Cortus is not ready to start the project now due to other more nearby opportunities, the Mariposa Biomass project has terminated Cortus Energy’s participation in this. They will seek a new technical collaboration for the plant in Mariposa. Cortus Energy makes the assessment that external costs the company has incurred will be reimbursed by them and their new partners.

Cortus Energy has several business projects in the Nordics and the EU that are rapidly maturing, which is why this termination is not considered negative for the company.
