World Energy planning to convert Houston biodiesel facility to SAF

August 18, 2022 |

In Texas, the Houston Chronicle newspaper reports World Energy is planning to convert its biodiesel facility into one that produces sustainable aviation fuel, producing 250 million gallons per year by 2025. The facility along the Houston Ship Channel provides transportation links via water, airports and major pipelines as well as access to low cost hydrogen, making it an easy choice for the company to expand its SAF production. Currently it is investing $2 billion to expand its California SAF production facility.
