September 1, 2022 |

In Thailand, the Korea Times reports GS C&E has teamed with St1 to develop ethanol production from waste cassava pulp. If successful, the plant they develop together will be the first of such kind in the world. As the third-largest producer of cassava in the world, Thailand has an abundant supply of the pulp which until now has not had a use. St1 believes its technology can be used to produce ethanol from the waste stream.
