Argentina increases biofuel prices and extends 12.5% biodiesel blending for 60 days

In Argentina, Clarín newspaper reports the Secretary of Energy ordered the update of the purchase price of bioethanol and biodiesel, while formalizing the extension for 60 days of the extension of the cut of the latter of 12.5% that was implemented last June to increase the offer of diesel in the local market.

The norm establishes an increase of 11.03% in the purchase price for a ton of biodiesel destined for blending, taking it from $1,407 to $1,562 for the operations corresponding to this month of September, although it is clarified that, in the case If there is no new decree at the end of the month, the current value will be valid until the publication of a new price that replaces it.

Previously, a staggered increase of 38.3% had been arranged, which was implemented between the months of April and August.
