EPA administrator says agency could approve year-round E15 before next summer

September 13, 2022 |

In Washington, Reuters reports Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Michael Regan said the agency is looking to bring back year-round E15 before next year’s summer driving season following last week’s request by several Midwest governors to do so. Governors can waive restrictions on E15 on a state-wide basis, but several are working together to get the rules for year-round sales back on the books. Regan reiterated that biofuel would remain a key part of the Biden Administration’s transport decarbonization policy.
