Punjab government forms task force to create mechanism for off-take of Fermented Organic manure from CBG projects

In India, the Punjab News Express reported that Punjab Government has formed a task force to discuss and create enabling mechanism for off-take of Fermented Organic Manure (FOM) generated from Compressed Biogas (CBG) projects based on agro-residue in the State. The announcement was made by Aman Arora, Punjab’s Minister for New and Renewable Energy Sources.

Arora said that the Punjab government will promote the use of FOM, produced by Compressed Biogas (CBG) plants, in sectors such as Agriculture, Horticulture and Floriculture.According to the report, the task force will be monitored by the Minister for New and Renewable Energy Sources.
