In India, Mint reports that the transportation minister will unveil on Wednesday the long-awaited ethanol flex-fuel car manufactured by Toyota, the first to become available in the Indian market, as part of a test project. Other companies are in the process of developing FFVs for the Indian market, but it will take time before any of them will be available for retail. The Indian government earlier this year set a six-month deadline for auto manufacturers to release a flex-fuel model but the roll out will take longer than first hoped.
