Ethanol production rebounds from last week’s lows

In Washington, Brownfield Ag News reports Environmental Protection Agency data shows ethanol production rose to an average of 889,000 barrels a day last week, bouncing off the lows from the week prior that were even below those seen during the COVID-19 pandemic. Some facilities remain offline for maintenance, taking advantage of low margins in order to do maintenance they would typically do later in the year in hopes of tightening supplies and supporting prices later in the year.
