Brookfield receives interest in buying Greenergy

In the UK, Bloomberg reports Brookfield has received interest in buying Greenergy for as much as $1.4 billion as interest increases in securing alternative energy assets although there is no guarantee that an offer will be made. Brookfield tried to sell Greenergy last year, contracting HSBC and Citigroup to scout for potential buyers, but the COVID-19 hangover still weighed on the market when it came to renewables. Now with the ongoing war in Ukraine continuing to impact energy prices, interest has renewed again.
