Lootah Biofuels opens UCO biodiesel facility in Dubai

In the UAE, TradeArabia News Service reports Lootah Biofuels has opened its biodiesel facility in in Dubai Industrial City. It will use used cooking oil as feedstock to produce biodiesel with a 100-ton per day expansion already in place. The biodiesel will be used to help achieve the government’s 5% biofuel blending target. In addition to the biofuels project, the Lootah Group is also involved in construction, real estate, energy, food and hospitality sectors as well.
