In the UK, the Richmond and Twickenham Times newspaper reports the famous Christmas light show at Kew Gardens that runs for two months in winter runs its generators on HVO following a successful trial held in 2020. The park was recently slammed for the carbon footprint of the light show, with some critics calling it a waste of money and energy, which is when the park announced it had switched to HVO and 75% LED lighting with a target of 100%. The park used to get few visitors during the cold, dark winter months but a decade ago it launched the successful light show to help fund its research and conservation activities.
