The Digest’s 2022 Multi-Slide Guide to Conversion of Flue Gas CO2 to C2-C4 products

In this project, researchers aim to establish a mechanistic pathway and characterize vs potential and pH, and demonstrate direct conversion of flue gas at high faradaic efficiency and current density. They also aim to demonstrate that the integrated flue gas feed with an optimized flow cell reactor can achieve performance and stability targets for commercial viability, and will perform technoeconomic analysis and life cycle analysis on the products. Joshua Spurgeon of the University of Louisville presented these slides at the Carbon Management Project Review Meeting in August.
