Brazil’s ANP appears to not be clear on 2023 biodiesel blending mandate

November 15, 2022 |

In Brazil, Platts reports that even though biodiesel blending has been held at 10% since prices surged in late 2021, data from the National Agency of Petroleum, Gas, and Biofuels (ANP) published on its website volumes associated with 14% blending for January and February 2023, in line with the policy set prior to the cut late last year. If that policy is back in place, then blending should go to 15% in March, but the ANP website doesn’t reflect that, and the lack of clarity is creating anxiety in the market.
