EPA expected to reveal 2023 RVO by week’s end

In Washington, Reuters reports the Environmental Protection Agency has agreed to publish renewable volume obligation mandates for 2023 and beyond by the end of this week although Platts reports the agency promised it would meet its court-ordered Nov. 30 deadline on Wednesday. The expectation is that a multi-year mandate will help tame RIN markets. Together with the blending mandate for the next few years, the EPA is also expected to release plans for including electricity into the Renewable Fuel Standard.
