December 2, 2022 |

In Jamaica, Jamaica Gleaner reported that Prime Minister Andrew Holness confirmed that the government has identified two sites for the construction of waste-to-energy facilities. The government did not reveal the location of the sites.

“Very soon the plastic bottle that you throw through the window will become very valuable in the production of energy,” Holness said.

Holness also noted that the construction of waste-to-energy plants will be done under a public-private partnership.
