Environmental group to file petition disputing air permit for proposed Fulcrum BioEnergy SAF plant

In Illinois, the Chicago Tribune newspaper reports Gary Advocates for Responsible Development plans to file a petition claiming potential health concerns resulting from the proposed Fulcrum BioEnergy sustainable aviation fuel facility in Gary. The Indiana Department of Environmental Management approved the project’s air permit in August but the environmental group plans to file the petition with the Indiana Office of Environmental Adjudication on Friday, claiming that the permit was issued without sufficient information about the feedstock, which is meant to be municipal solid waste.
