Brazil extends duty-free non-fuel ethanol imports through March 31, 2023

In Brazil, the official gazette published the temporary reduction, to zero percent, of the Import Tax rate under article 50, item d, of the Montevideo Treaty of 1980, internalized by Legislative Decree no. the fight against the Corona Virus / Covid-19 pandemic, and amends Annexes VI and VII of Gecex Resolution No. 272, of December 19, 2022 that allows for duty-free import of ethanol for non-fuel purposes. The duty free rule has been extended through March 31, 2023.
