In Singapore, Offshore Energy reports one of Ocean Network Express’s containerships has bunkered with Chevron’s marine biofuel. The 4,800 TEU containership MOL Endowment bunkered 992.2 metric tons of VLSFO-B24 with support from the Singapore Trade Data Exchange (SGTraDex). In February, the company trialed marine biofuels on one of its Panamax boxships. Using biofuels is part of the company’s decarbonization strategy that aims to cut its emissions by 25% compared to 2018 levels by 2030 and by 50% by 2050.
