India to begin rolling out E20 in April

In India, the Economic Times newspaper reports the government plans to starting slowly phasing in E20 in April, ahead of the 2025/26 nationwide blending mandate. The country has five 2G ethanol plants currently under development while it has been supporting sugarcane- and grain-based ethanol distillery installation through soft financing and ever-higher prices over the last several years at it ramps up production to reach the blending mandate.
In addition to ethanol, the cabinet last week approved the national roadmap for rolling out green hydrogen, the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
