Oil refiners seeking one-year delay to year-round E15

January 16, 2023 |

In Washington, Seeking Alpha reports that major oil refiners including Chevron, Phillips 66 and Shell are requesting the White House and the Environmental Protection Agency delay the implementation of year-round E15 to April 2024 rather than April 2023 as planned. The reason for the delay is the supposed need for “infrastructure and operational changes” in the Gulf Coast region to allow for sufficient E15 supplies. Exxon Mobil, Magellan Midstream Partners and Valero have also asked the White House for the same delay.
