Iowa state senator introduces five bills to restrict carbon pipeline projects

In Iowa, the Iowa Capital Dispatch reports State Sen. Jeff Taylor introduced five bills into the chamber that severely restrict the carbon pipelines currently being developed by three companies, ranging from limitations on eminent domain, access for land surveys and land easements as well as requirements for investors. Even though Taylor was amongst a handful of Republicans who oppose the pipelines and didn’t manage to get restrictions through during the last legislative session, the topic became a key point during the campaign last fall.
