South Dakota House committee rejects two eminent domain bills and sends two onwards

In South Dakota, DRG News reports that two state House bills that sought to give landowners more rights when it comes to eminent domain related to carbon dioxide pipeline project development failed to pass the House State Affairs Committee following four hours of testimony while another two were sent on to be voted by the full House. Landowners have been pushing back hard at trespassing by surveyors for the various carbon pipeline projects, not just in South Dakota but also in other states where the pipelines are planned.
