Aprobio seeking B12 in March and B15 in March 2024

In Brazil, Broadcast Agro reports Association of Biofuel Producers of Brazil (Aprobio) presented to the Minister of Agriculture, Carlos Fávaro, a proposal to increase the percentage of mandatory blending of biodiesel with diesel oil, according to the Ministry. In a meeting held on Tuesday, Aprobio requested that the mandate pass from the current 10% (B10) to 12% in March this year and have a gradual growth until reaching 15% (B15) in March 2024. The Ministry of Development Agrário (MDA) promised to defend the proposal. The ministry’s communication team confirmed to Broadcast Agro that Minister Paulo Teixeira supports the gradual advance of the biodiesel blend up to B15 and should forward the agenda to President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
