EPA proposes year-round E15 in certain Midwestern states from summer 2024

March 1, 2023 |

In Washington, Reuters reports the Environmental Protection Agency has proposed allowing year-round E15 in certain Midwest states, but the rule wouldn’t be implemented until the summer of 2024 despite Midwestern government asking for the restrictions on summer E15 sales be lifted before the 2023 summer driving season kicks off. The EPA will hold a public hearing in late March or early April before finalizing the new rule. The oil industry is against piecemeal policies that force fractured fuel sales.
